After a long flight, The Wright Brothers Bobblehead has arrived at the HISTORY Store! Trained in bicycle mechanics, these self-taught brothers applied their knowledge to aviation. After observing that birds angled their wings for balance and control, they added a moveable rudder which was their magic formula. On December 17, 1903, their Wright Flyer took to the air in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina flying a distance of 852 feet, which was an extraordinary achievement at the time. Thanks to Wilbur and Orville Wright’s ingenuity, aviation is today a trillion-dollar industry. Learn more about the Wright Brothers here.
